Terrific Turquoise…
What inspired Weddings by Marius to create this theme…?
The picture: a magnificent ocean sunset, pristine shores, you and your fiancé tying the knot in what has to be one of nature’s most alluring settings – the beach.
The look: uncomplicated, glamorous and very, very romantic; a dreamy ceremony option to consider when you start your planning process.
The plan: your plans begin with an early decision – are you eloping, inviting a small group, having a traditional and, by its nature, a larger wedding? Ceremonies with fewer guests allow greater flexibility in location selection and planning. But, it is possible to plan and execute a beach wedding with a large guest group. Many brides dream of a beach wedding and saying “I do” just as the sun sets in the background – the perfect time for the ceremony!
The style: formal or informal – the more formal the ceremony, the more intricate the planning. We’ve put together a few images representative of a few details pertaining to a beach wedding – the powerful visuals associated with beach and ocean dominate the scenery, so keep the décor to a minimum; be sure to have buckets filled with warm rose-scented water for guests to take a quick seat to wash their feet, fluffy white towels for drying.
The theme: colour cushions with white-washed benches – very trendy… define the look with Chinese parasols available to protect guests against the late afternoon sun, doubling as gifts for your female guests. The aisle lined with indigenous flowers – simply beautiful. The ceremony performed at sundown, dramatic lighting in the form of torches, elaborate candles.
The layout: linen-covered tables reflect powerful seaside colours – turquoise, naturals, blues, sands. Again, keep it simple, benches at the tables. Glass incorporated in the theme – glass under plates, glass containers with floral décor own to the area – a minimalist feel, no clutter factor; different coloured glasses at each setting, a driftwood and crystal chandelier floating above the table completes the look.
So, send out your message-in-a-bottle invitations – there is no more naturally romantic backdrop to your wedding ceremony than the striking coastline…
